Thi» group were the principal participant* in the 1950 Cancer Crusade kickoff meeting held in the Monticello hotel, Charlottesville, Friday - evening, March 31. They are (left to right) Presi* dent Colgate W. Darden, of the University of Virginia, Charlottesville; Ed Phillips, of Richmond, president of the Virginia division, American Ca ncer Society; Mrs. 1. M. Hufford, of Alexandria, State commander of the Field Army of the ACS; Dr. Guy R. Fisher, of Staunton, State campaign chairman, and Dr. Edwin P. Lehman, professor of,surgery and gynecology and director of that department at the University of Virginia, a* we li as chief surgeon and gynecologist for the Uni* varsity of Virginia hospital. Dr. Lehman was awarded the 1950 medal of the ACS.
