Fishing Regulations
Special regulations of ti.o National Park Service, Sec. 110.1.“;, Shenandoah National Park, have keen amended to read a- follow-:

The-e regulations shall govern fi-hing on those portions of ail sti earns lying wholly within ti.e Park, including those portions of : re Conway River, the Rap,dan R:\er. and trie North and Sonin Folk- of the Moormans River. Along those portions of t.,e streams which follow the boundary hno of the Park, tfie State of Y.i - gmia laws and regulations governing fishing shall apply.
( 2 ) Closed waters.
*<U All waters in the Paik are open to Trout fishing.
< ii) Fishing for ali other types of fish in the waters of the Park is prohibited.
(3) Season.
The fishing season shall i>e from sunrise on April 20 to sunset on July 10. Fishing is prohibited within the park during the hours from sunset to sunrise.
(4) Size limit.
Fish under 7 inches in length shall not be retained unless seriously injured in catching. All undersized fish not seriously injured in catching shall be immediately and carefully returned to the water. All un'dersized fish, w'hich are seriously injured in catching shall be retained and shall constitute a part of the catch. -
(5) Limit of catch.
The limit of catch per day by each person fishing shall not exceed 10 fish, including undersized fish retained because of serious injury in catching.
(6) Bait.
Only artificial lures shall be used, such as artificial flies or bugs. No spinner or other lures with more than one hook is permitted.
( 7 ) State license.
The Park, as such, does not charge for fishing, but . persons fishing in the Park mo st first procure an appropriate State fishing license issued by the State of Virginia.
