“Cancer will hang crepe on eiery other door in America this year,” Dr. Fisher said. "One person in every seven who lives to the age of 40 will die of cancer, and 181 million people living now in the United States will die of the disease. More people tire living to ages when cancer strikes the largest number; consequently more people die of cancer than formerly. Also, belter diagnosis and more accuiate reporting of the disease no doubt account for some of the increase in the figures.
