In stressing the importance of continuous" activity in combating cancer, Piesident Darden reminded his audience that nothing great was ever accomplished by one big effort, that great achievements come through mobilization and consistent effort. “What we need,” he said, "is enthusiasm such as that evidenced here, tonight to carry on the campaign.” He predicted that unflagging efforts n the part of many people will bring the defeat of cancer. Mr. Darden referred to what has been accomplished^ in liftingthe health and welfare of the masses in the United States, saying that it is greater than anything ever achieved in this country.
