Womanless Beauty
Contest At Fair
The men were introduced by Mrs. Robert L, Massie in the womanless beauty contest Saturday evening at the Rappahannock Fair by the following verses: You’ve probably heard from far
and near Of our “Petticoat Regime.” Where not a stray dog roams the'
street And no trash is seen.
The men *are very silent, The women have the floor. The men say, “Let them do the
work But give us one day more.”
So on this 80th of September The men will rule the show They’ve gone to lots of trouble As you soon will know.
They’ve used much paint and powder
And even curled their tresses) They’ve squeezed into our spencers
And even put on dresses.
No more beaqtlful bevy —•—* Can be seen in all the land So let’s all give these beauties A great big hand. %
