Watson and son spent Monday in Washington, D. C.

Bobbie North, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard North, is spending several days at his home from Wake Forest college. He was called to report for an examination for the armed services.

L. C. Burke of Berryville is the guest for several days of Mr. Burke’s son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burke.

Mr. and Mrs. Wood Burke moved Wednesday into their new apartment at the old Dudley place in Washington, now owned by L. V. Merrill.

Mr. and Mrs. Drayton Meade and Miss Lottie Meade of The Plains spent Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Hite and Miss Mary Elizabeth Hite at their home, “Mont Medi.”

Mrs. William Meade Fletcher was the overnight guest Wednesday of Mrs. Byrd Murat Willis in Richmond.

Miss Eva Starks of Washington, D. C., was an over night guest Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Hite and Miss Mary Elizabeth Hite at “Mont Medi.’’
