CPL. WRIGHT IN KOREA
Cpl. David Wright, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Wright of Washington, has notified his parents that he has been promoted to corporal. Cpl. Wright has been in Korea and participated in the battle of Seoul.
SPECIAL HOURS SET FOR LICENSE PURCHASE
Special hours have been set for the purchase of truck and auto licenses at Hampton Inn and Service Station, states Gibson Wharton.
Week-day hours are from 8 to 5, and Saturday hours are from 8 to 12 noon. Although the Inn and Service Station are open at other hours, licenses can be obtained only at the hours. stated;'
Orchard Spraying
Done By Airplane
Planes over Rappahannock for the past week have been spraying “stop drop” on the orchards to help the pickers in their fight against time, to get the apples picked before they drop.
Among those having their orchards sprayed are Joe D. Keyser, -Herbert Foster, Bob Rust, Brue Wood, C. J. Miller, L. L. Voigt, Rayner Snead, John R. Moore, Clifford Grim, and C. R. Hite.
The spraying has been done by ,the Tyler Flight Service of Baltimore and by George Shrader who operates the airport in Winchester.
