SCHOOL BUS RAMMED BY KEYSER APPLE TRUCK
A school bus, driven by Paul Bennett was hit Wednesday morn* ing by a truck owned by Joe W. Keyser of Front Royal. The truck, diiven by a colored man, rammed into the rear of the school bus as it stopped before the entrance at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Willians in Flint Hill. There were no children on the school bus at the time, and the bus was not seriously damaged. The truck had the front damaged, not badly.
ATTEND FUNERAL SERVICES IN FRONT ROYAL
On Tuesday afternoon F. M. Lewis, Mrs. Virginia M. Lewis, Mrs. James Yates and Miss Ruth C. Menefee attended funeral services in Front Royal for J. Leonard Mathews, who died Sunday, October 1, at the University of Virginia Hospital, following a long illness. Mr. Mathews was a brother-in-law of Miss Menefee, Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Yates. Mr. Matthews’ first wife was Miss Louise Eleanor Menfee, who died-in 1918.
RAPPAHANNOCK CHARGE MET IN SPERRYVILLE
The fourth quarterly conference of the Rappahannock Charge met in the Methodist church in Sperryville last Thursday, with! a representation and good reports from all seven churches. The District Superintendent, Reverend Landis preached at 11 a.m. Following the lunch hour, a business session was held.

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Company will hold its regular monthly meeting Monday, October 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Sperryville school auditorium.
