Reach $30,000 Marie
A. D. Williams, chairman of the committee for'the Culpeper Hospital and Health Center, and E. i. Nottingha, Jr., of the committee for soliciting special gifts for memorials, have announced that plans are being formed to start an organization in Rappahannock county to include this county in the memorials.
Donations and gifts for the Culpeper Hospital and Health Center have reached a mark of $30,000, according to the sign posted on the corner of Main and Davis streets in the town. The goal is set at $50,000.
According to Col. William Nalle most of the gifts are in the form of memorials to individuals. Although the hospital and health center was established primarily as a memorial to the veterans of World Wars I and II, many gifts are memorials to those other than veterans. Memorials range in size from $500 to $8000. One memorial of $6000 has been received and the emergency operating room will bear the memorial placque from' this gift.
