in* inxie urimson Clover is a reseeding type and includes three different strains among which is Antanga produced in Alabama. These re-seeding strains hare been successfully grown at Williamsburg for four to fire years,hare reseeded aind produced as much growth as the common type.
The most rital concern howerer over this re-seeding Crimson Clover is just how it will fit into our farming system here in Rappahannock. This is rather difficult to get through plot work as there are many possible uses and different farming systems. A few of the plans where this clover may Imre « place here in Rappahannock are:
(. Seeding in Corn at Last Cuttiration. Seeding of Crimson Clorer sometimes is very difficult and to do a good job corer nigh impossible; thus the reseeding type may have some advantages for this purpose. There may be a good place in our county where corn is grown on the same ground year after year because of lack of suitability of land for row crop production.
2. Pasture. Another possible use would be with Korea, Kobe, or Common Lespedeza in order to provide both winter and summer grazing but it is not known whether the lespedeza will re-seed under these conditions. If the Crimson Clover is grazed fairly close from February to maturtiy the lespedeza may re-seed, but the crimson clover may not hare a good stand. Interested farmers may disc a small area of lespedeza in August or early September and seed some of the Re-seeding Crimson Clover and observe
