Hold* Fellowship Dinner
A St. Patrick’s Family Fellowship Dinner was held by the congregation of Flint Hill Baptist ‘chhrch Friday evening, March 16, at the church. The party followed* the Irish theme from green shamrocks through Irish potatoes to* Iris melodies.
Rev. M. E. Sliger was master of ceremonies. Mrs. Charles Wood had contributed to the decorations with a large portrait of St. Patrick and the youngsters used him1 in a game while blindfolded to try , to pin a shamrock on his hat.
A series of Irish melodies were . presented by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Johnson of Amissville. Mr. Johnson, a retried engineer and a talented violinist, was accompanied by Mrs. Johnson on the piano. Mrs. Barbara Gentry sang "My Wild Irish Rose,” accompanied by ifn. Claud Cook.
Color slides were shown at the conclusion of the evening.
The family fellowship dinner, largest affair of its kind in the church’s annual program, was planned by Mrs. M. IS.*1* Sliger, Miss Ruth "Stevens, Charles B. Wood, Mrs. O. W. Gilbert, Jr., Miss Allie Cooksey, and Miss Elsie Dodson. . ,
