Local board clerk* do not classify or reclassify registrants. Thia can only be done by the local board at a board meeting, at which the clerk has no voice or vote. The -clerk will bring to the attention of the board all information submitted by the registrant, his de»' pendents or his employer, but under no circumstances is the clerk empowered with the right to argue the registrant’s case before the local board.
The local board clerk may accept a registrant’s note of appeal or his application to volunteer for induction and register new registrants as they become eligible for registration. —In the files at the local board offieve lies information of such deep personal intimacy as to make the local board clerks observe the same code of strict secrecy as applies to doctors.
