If the same «r*lation holds, the 1951 rate in Virginia would be About $1.68 a bushel. This year there are no : designated commercial areas, just | a flat rate for each'State. ^
The supports bn the 1.951 crops of oats, rye, and; barley are fixed' at 7 per cent of parity oh January 15, 1951. Unlike corn, these sup* ports' afe fixed and' will not be changed to reflect any possible ‘ increase in parity at the begin* ning of the marketing season.
In the case of soybeans the national average ’Support rate for 1951 is set at |2.45 a bushel, based on 90 per cent of parity on January 15, 1951. This compared to an average price last year of |2.06 a bushel, based on 80 per cent of parity on September 1, 1950, the beginning of the soybean marketing season.
