Board Rejects Levy
For School Building_
Calling for the Commissioner of Accounts to break a 3-3 tie vote, the Board of Supervisors - voted out the 15-eent levy on the proposed budget for a new county high school building at the budget meeting Monday, April 0.
James W. Fletcher, Commissioner of Accounts, called to break the tie vote, cast bis vote against the increase in the levy along 'with the votes of W. C. Campbell, A. H. Buckner, and A. C. Latham. H. B. Wood, Frank Brown,' and J. P. Cook voted for -the levy.

The purpose of the increase in the lories for schools and the general fund, as published in the tentative budget, 1b to offset the decrease in revenue from A.B.C. funds, the deficit in the general fend, and the decrease in tax base caused by the re-assessment of real estate in the county.
In reply to the crowded conditions anticipated in next year’s high school, no 4sfinite plans are announced. The decision of the board of supervisors means there will be no new building, so other arrangements will have to be made by the school board and the school authorities. ;>r: r
