Went to the supervisors’ meeting
this week, as most people around the county did. The school question was to be settled. Well it was, with a tie Vote from the supervisors, so in they called the “POOR” tie breaker. For him it. was this if you do, and this if you don’t. So after much bickerin’ and battin’, around everybody settled down, and the tie was broken with “NO” its a bad time Tight now, there are so many things to consider, so the school, question is again at a standstill, and we can go on from here with other unfinished business, nphings seem to be moving along J- just about the same in Rappahannock. Clean-up week in in full swing in Washington, cards have mailed out asking everyone to vote for the most improved property, that sure will be hard to do, never did see the old town so dressed up. As for me it will be hard to decide everyone has gone into the cleanup program with so much vim and vigor. Sperryville is getting all set for a big clean-up, why don’t we make it county-wide?
Cheese Oden is still taking his
exercise. Mr, and Mrs. D. Lyle still meeting the mails, and Mr. D. Lyle writing poetry. W. C. Campbell still looking for a mule, but not one from Missouri. Beth Owen was over in Harrisonburg for Homecoming, with something new to show. And I declare to goodness if we didn’t see Watts coming back from breakfast at 8 o’clock instead of 9. Of course racing season is in full swing at Laurel, and
