The Washington H. D. Club met at the Washington Firehouse last Wednesday night. Around six persons from the club plan to attend the District Home Demonstration meeting in Winchiedter on the 1st of May. A demonstration was given to the group on “The Selection of Furniture and Rugs for the Living Room.” Delicious refreshments were served by the two hostesses, Mrs. Floyd Compton and Miss Margaret Compton. The club was very well pleased, to welcome Mrs. Jade Bruce as a new member to the dub. ^

Don't forget Home Demonstration members of Washington, the clean-up day wiH be held on April IS. The let next to the Washing-, ton Firehouse has been designated ‘ to us, so come out and fit's make this lot shine. Also in the evening from 7:30 to 8:80 on the 13th the Sherwin-Williams paint representative will paint a room at the home of Mrs. C. G. Reid.

All home demonstration members and all other women in the town and of Rappahannock are invited to come and see thin demonstration.. Bach woman will be given a chance to use the new paint roller for applying paint. By seeing this demonstration you as a homemaker will learn how to paint walls the new method, ahd will be able to apply this method to rooms in your own home.

Any H. D. member of Rappsbannock who has iris, lilac, or any other plants or shrubs of any kind bring them on the 18th to the Firehouse. As you know this Is the day Washington has set aside for planting and cleaning.
