Funeral services for AUie Whorton, 73-year-old prominent fanner of Caatlaton, who died Tuesday afternoon, April 3, after a long period of declining health, were held Thursday from the Massanova Pentecostal church, the Her. R. H. Scroggins conducting the last rites. Interment was made in the family section of the Hopehill cemetery, Castleton.
Mr. Whorton was the son of the late Tide Whorton and the late Lucy Embrey Whorton of Rappahannock.
Surviving are six daughters: Mrs. Bernice Fincham, Culpeper; Mrs.' Harry Settle, Mrs. Luther Settle, Castleton; Mrs. Henry Hitt, Amisaville; Mrs. Joseph - A. Riley, Rixeyville, and Mrs. Walter Whorton; one son William Whorton, of Amisaville, and a foster-son Louie Cubbage of Culpeper; also 35 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Martin, Winchester, and one brother Hubert Whorton, Estes.

CHANGE lit HOUR OF SERVICE AT THORNTON GAP CHURCH
The regular Sunday morning service at the Thonrton Gap Primitive Baptist church will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m., instead of 11 a.m., as previously scheduled, as the pastor will attend the morning session of a Union Meeting at Grace Church m Arlington, and return to fill his appointment in the afternoon.
