Beggarly*. Old Mill

Considered for Concert*

Baggarly’s Old Mill, between Washington and Masaie’s Corner, is being considered seriously as a possible site for the location of the summer concerts by the Virginia Orchestra, according to an announcement made this week by the committee of the Blue Ridge Music Festival Association.

F. Clyde Beggarly stated late yesterday .that no contract for the use of the old miH had been signed, but that plans for such (were in progress. Members of the site committee of the local association, C. E. Johnson, Jr., Dr. W. G. Pendleton, and Rev. A. Paul Thompson, have not verified any definite decision as yet.

In a statement to S. E. Hening, local chairman, William Haaker, conductor of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, stated that he was pleased with the Old Mill and, following his present tour, (when he returned to Richmond he would try to get answers as to the available funds from the Virginia Symphony Guild for repairs of the old mill.

These concerts are scheduled for the last of July and first of Aug*, ust in Rappahannock and a large number of memberships have been subscribed in the county for attendance at the concerts.
