Engagement Announced
Mr. and Mrs. Porter Robey Hudson of Marshall, Missouri, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Mary Elizabeth, to Leo Nelson Revercomb, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Grover Revercomb of Peola Mills.
Miss Hudson attended George Peabody College, Nashville, Tenn., and is a graduate of Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo., class of 1948. Specializing in voice training, she taught one year in Marshall, Mo., and is now teaching in Yorktown Elementary S5hool, Aldington. .
Mr. Revercomb attended Strayera Business" College, Washington, D.C.; served in World War if for three years in England, Germany, France and Belgium; He has been with the Department of Agriculture for nearly 12 years, where he is purchasing clerk, Bureau of Agriculture and Industrial Chemistry.
The wedding will take place at the bride’s home, Saturday, June 80, First Presbyterian church at 4 p.m.

For Baptist Sunday School
Skipper Giles’ Washington Cash Store is heading the list with 20 dollar bills attached to the signs in Washington saying “Add One to Add to the Stinday School.”
This project, put on by the Washington Baptist church, is an idea for those who wish to donate to tape a dollar on to the string of dollars., Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell delivered the cards about the town last Thursday and the response has been exceyent, showing a fine start.
Lea Bros. Store has ten dollar bills strung on their sign, and the filling station at Massie’s Corner is close behind with nine. The County Agent’s office has six; the Clerk’s Office has five; Merrills and the News office have four each; Skyline View Service Station and W. B. Jenkins have three each; the bank, Watts’ Beauty Parlor, Payne Motor Co., and Hampton Inn each have two; and Watts’ Barber Shop and Washington Chfe have one each.
