A recent letter to the editor from the president of the County Edueation Association expressed thanks for the paper’s expressing the joy of the teacher in seeing the children do well in their school work.
“It is true,’’ said the writer, “that the greatest joy possible for a teacher is to see the children succeed.
“Evefty child can succeed in some way and it is the teacher’s privilege to help those who work more slowly than others, because all are valuable individuals.
“The children of this county are the most worthwhile products grown here, and parents and teachers alike have the responsibility of ‘growing’ the best.”

If you don’t watch out, this will be a “can you top this” contest. Recently a story was told of the teacher who invented a game to clean the schoolyard of rocks. A teacher has sent in another similar story: when trouble arose in trying to keep trash and balledup paper from being thrown about the halls and school grounds, someone thought up a clever idea. Backboards were rigged up behind trash cans and a basketball net placed just above the can. All trash was thrown in, for if the pupil missed the net, he usually retrieved the wad of trash for another try.
