Commencement exercises for the 65 graduates of Rappahannock’s elementary schools were held Friday evening, June 8, at Sperryville. **

Miss Georgia Standish, of Mont Ellery, Laurel Mills, received the essay contest award on “Conservation,” given by the Rappahannock Garden Club and presented at the commencement exercises by Mrs. George Taylor.

Richard Racer completed hia ninth year with a perfect attendance record. The list of all pupils with 100% attendance for the past session was read by Jacob Sisk.

Those taking part in the comencemment exercises included Miss Becky Jones, Bernice Nethers, Bobby Menefee, Jimmy Clatterbuck, Miss Margy Dodson, Miss Mary Foster, and Francis Bruce.
