Mrs. Henry Keyser and Magruder Keyser of Williamsburg, were week-end guests of Mrs. Will Keyser and Joe DeJ. Keyser at “Pleasant View”.

Sunday guests of Capt. and Mrs. H. C. Warwick at “Rockbottom” (were Mr. and Mrs. William Kearnes of Washington, D. C., and Mr. and Mrs. Gaston Caperton of Richmond. Mrs. W. M. Warwick is spending this week at “Rockbottom.”

Mrs. James JF. Smith and Mrs. P. Lee Thornton left Tuesday for Roanoke where they will attend the Nurses Convention this week.

Mrs. Her.ry Wood, who underwent an operation at the University of Virginia hospital last week, is reported to be getting along satisfactorily.

Mr. and Mrs. James Settle, Mrs. John J. Miller and Mrs. Henry Miller attended the graduation exercises of Mr. and Mrs. Roswell Bowersett at the University of Maryland Saturday. They were also luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bowersett at their home in Maryland.

Jimmy Johnson is working on the Skyline Drive at Dicky Ridge, making preparations for opening, up of the various stations. He and Mrs. Johnson will be managers of Elk Waller, which will be open in the next few days.

John Wood of Danville was the ' overnight guest Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Miller at their home, “Millermead”. Mrs. Wood, who had been visiting her parents, returned home with Mr. Wood.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown went to Blacksburg Friday for the finals of the school year at VPI, and to be present on Saturday for the graduation of their son William Jackson Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Brown were overnight guests on Friday of Miss Elizabeth Persinger at Eagle Rock. Jack Brown has accepted a position in Floyd.

Miss Mary Miller Wood, Miss Gladys Reid and Miss Beth Owen attended the movies in Culpeper Saturday night.
