Mrs. H. B. Wood is a patient in University of Virginia hospital. Her mother, Mrs. L. C. Quaintance, who had been in Charlottes* ville to be near Mrs. Wood, returned home Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Coffey spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. L. K. Coffey at Raphine. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Coffey accompanied by Walter Rector attended the fpneral of N. G. Ashby at Oflean. Mr. Rector is remaining for a visit with relatives and friends in that section. 1
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Massie and Bobbie Massie were dinner guests Saturday evening of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr., at their home in Flint Hill.
Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Miller returned home Sunday after attending the graduation of their daughter Louise at Hollins College. Miss Miller accompanied her parents home. 4
Mrs. L. R. Rudasill, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice O'Bannon and sons John and Bobby visited Rev. and Mrs. Lawson Panky near Richmond last Friday.
Among those from Sperryville attending the quarterly conference at Jeffersonton Tuesday were Misses Ebba and Beulah Hitt, Miss Nettie Bontz, Mrs. George Brown, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. E^tes.
Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lyne and family spent the week end in Richmond with relatives. Mrs. M. E. Cottrell,' who has been a guest in the Lyne home for several weeks, has returned to her home in Toano, accompanied by her grandson David Lyne. Miss Peachy Lyne is spending some time with her aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Powell in Arlington.
