Mrs. Jack Bruce and her son and daughter Manley and Dianne Bruce and her mother Mrs. Lucy Hawkins of Washington, D.C., left on Monday for a motor trip to Zanesville, Ohio., where they will be guests of Mrs. Iva Singleton.

Miss Gladys Reid, who has been visiting a schoolmate at Bluefield, Va., returned Friday to “Rose Cottage’’ the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles G. Reid.

George Davis and Miss Mary Lou Davis of Hawlin left Wednesday for New Jersey for a two/week’s stay at the beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Sawyer and their son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kight and their son of Catonsville, Md., spent the week end in Sperryville, dividing their time with Mr. and Mrs. Chapman and Mr. and Mrs. George W. Brown.
