' The Ladies Auxiliary met in Emmanuel church, Sperfyville, on Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock. The president, Mrs. S. E. Hening, presided. Dr. W. G. Pendleton led the devotional. After the reading of the minutes by the secretary, Miss Louise Schwartz, a business session was held, followed by a most interesting talk on Mountain Mission by Mrs. Fred Schaefer. The highlight of the evening was a shower given by the ladies of the church for Deaconess Hutton, who is doing such outstanding work in Cubbage Hollow.

A 2-cent stamp is enough for a printed Christmas card with less than five words of written massage and mailed in an unsealed envelope, Postmaster Albert Goldman reminded mail users yesterday. However, any card measuring less than four inches will require a 3-cent stamp, wheather, mailed sealed of unsealed, because of the difficulty of handling a small piece of mail. As .first-class postage, it would be forwarded or returned to the sender if undeliverable as addressed.
