It is significant to note in this connection the extent that combined Government income payments to individuals have grown as compared with other major sources of personal income over the years.

Trade and services represent the biggest single source of personal income- Back in 1929 this classification represented 24.4 per cent of total income payments to individuals. The proportion last year was 26.3 per cent of the total, representing a gain of about 8 per cent in the period in the contribution of trade and service income to the people’s total income.

Rabies Epizoodic Still On

The rabies epizoodic in foxe3 in Fauquier county is not abating, states Dr. W. R. Johnson, health department official. Last week four fox heads were submitted to the laboratory for reports and this week three fox heads were sent. All seven heads were reported positive for rabies.

Dr. Johnson concludes tha£ the epizodic recognized since February x»f this year will probably not end until foxes are so few that traffic between infected dens and uninfected dens ceases. Dr. Johnson believes that Rappahannock county has been protected by the river barrier. Loudoun county has no such protection and is now experiencing the epizoodic. t

Dr. Johnson states that wise dog owners will see that their dogs are protected from rabies by regular annual vaccination. Dogs, by their intimate association with humqna, are thfe source of almost all hutnari rabies. Dr. Joiftisoft cautions that there is - no authentic case of human or canine rabies having ever recovered.
