The trees pruned at Hr. Keyder's orchard were picked before results were taken but the orchard men reported that the trees pruned by Mr. Dreiling had much larger apples..
Plans are to follow up by pruning the same trees for several years and checking results.
Fred Dreiling will be here Wednesday, December 5, to demonstrate the "thinning out method” of pruning as follows:
10 a.m.—Mt. Vernon apple orchard, Sperryville;
1 p.m.—Downing Wood’s peach orchard, Washington;
2:30 p.m.—Wood Bros., Sunny Slope orchard, (apple trees) at Flint Hill.
Mr. Dreiling plans to demonstrate a power saw and the power pruner. These tools are great labor savors. Let’s all come out to see this new equipment operate and to get other pointers on pruning.

Mr. and Mrs. Willaim Nuckole of Shady Side, Maryland announce the birth of a daughter, born November 24. Mrs. Nuckole was the former Miss Julia Beckham Eastham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Eastham formerly of Rappahannock.
