•Several farmers have asked about the advisability of immunizing livestock against Rabies. In general veterinarians advise it is too expensive, however reports on dosage vary. One report says farm animals such as sheep, cattle, swine, mules, horses,etc. should receive 10 c.c. of the vaccine before exposure and 20 c. c. daily for six consecutive days after exposure. One veterinarian says that to give only one 50 c. c. dose as a preventative is a waste of time and money, that three such dose* should be administered at intervals. Thus you see the discrepency Fve run into, however all agree general immunization of farm animals is impractical. Possibly it will be wise to consult your own Veterinarian about the "question.
