Funeral services were held on , ■Tuesday afternoon in Flint Hill v- Methodist church for Mrs. Mattie Clarke Bowling, wife of George W. Bowling, who died at her home near Flint Hill, Sunday, January 27.
A native of Rappahannock,, Mrs. Bowling was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Clarke and Mrs. Eliza Ffnnell Clarke. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Edith B. Keyser of Marshall; and by two sons, Frank Bowling of Washington and Charles" Bowling of Flint Hill. ‘
