Funeral services were held on , ■Tuesday afternoon in Flint Hill v- Methodist church for Mrs. Mattie Clarke Bowling, wife of George W. Bowling, who died at her home near Flint Hill, Sunday, January 27.
A native of Rappahannock,, Mrs. Bowling was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Clarke and Mrs. Eliza Ffnnell Clarke. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Edith B. Keyser of Marshall; and by two sons, Frank Bowling of Washington and Charles" Bowling of Flint Hill. ‘
Mrs. Bowling was an active member of the Flint Hill Methodist church and of the Woman's (Society of Christian Service. Rev. N. J. Flythe officiated at the fuv neral services and interment waa in (Prospect Hill cemetery, Front
