Since Fauquier has sizeable livestock numbers, have lost comparatively few animals and in view of Dr. Johnson’s quotation, advisibility of rabies insurance will stand further investigation.^ Will report in this column further findings. I have asked Dr. W. B. Bell of the V.P.I. Animal Disease Research Lab. to discuss ramifications of Rabies prevention before and—after exposure in farm animals at the Beef Cattlemen’s Agronomy School to be held February 18 at the Middleburg Community House. In addition to < Dr. Bell, cattlemen will have the opportunity to hear H. L. Dunton discuss pasture fertilization, and tiiorge Litton, New Head of the Animal Husbandry Department talk on Livestock. After lunch, R. E. Blaser and his co-workers of ■the Middleburg Pasture and Forage crop research center will give the latest information from that station. Every beef cattle producer in the county should by ail means attend.
A cattlemen’s short course will be held at V.P.I. March 4, 6, and 6 under the sponsorship of the Animal Husbandry Department in cooperation with the Virginia Aberdeen Angus Association, the Virginia Hereford Association and the Virginia Beef Cattle Pro-' ducer’s Associaion.
