A minority of ministers, concerned that there is still some poverty and distress in America—the world’s most prosperous nation— have fallen for the humanitarian promises of the collectivists. They have been fooled by these falsa and illusionary promises. They do no realize that a collectivist society has never worked because it has a crippling effect upon individual initiative. They do not know that under socialism the end result is simply a distribution of poverty, while on the other hand, the objective of our American capitalistic system is to raise everybody’s living standards by (producing more at* less cost.

Therefore, the majority of our clergy whose thinking has not been warped by the Utopian preachments of the collectivists, not only have every right to bespeak themselves, in fact, it is» their Christian obligation to do so. The chips are down. The battle 3a joined between Christianity and godless totalitarianism. Can a clergyman have any choice be* tween these two ideologies?
