BASKETBALL TEAMS WIN 1) LOSE 1 TO MARSHALL
The Rappahannock County girls* , basketball team defeated the Marshall High School girls Tuesday night, January 29, by the score of 29-21, while the Rappahannock1' boys dropped a 42-88 decision to the Marshall boys.
Dot Cloud, who was leading scoroer with 12 points, injured her knee during: the game and may be unable to finish the season. —
In the second game the Rappahannock boys dropped their third straight game to the Marshall boys. William Armentrottt •was high scorer for the Panthers.
The next home game will be played Friday night at Sperryville School against teams from Aldie High School.

Miss Marilyn Fairbetter, of Texas, became the bride of Staff Sgt. Maury W. Brown Jr., Stationed at Carswell Air Force Base, in a recent ceremony in the Protestant chapel on the base. Capt. Victor E. Walter, chaplin, officiated. * " The -bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. S, Fairbetter of Boyd, and her husband is the s<m of Mr. and Mrs. Maury W. Brown v of Sperryville. Mrs. Alta Hunley was her sister’s only attendant, and Master Sgt. John A. Bennett jof Carswell was best man. The bride’s' father gave her in marriage.
The couple are living at 1989 Hurley after a short wedding trip to eMexico.
