Sunday School Rooms

The building committee for the addition to the Washington Baptist Church consisting of four Sunday School rooms, two rest rooms, and a kitchen would, like very much to have tl^L work completed, by winter. In orc^r to accomplish this, more funds must be available. To date the committee reports the financial status to be approximately 6,500 raised, i $6,200 paid out, $500 plumbing obligation and $4,(XX) needed for completion.
Letters have been sent out to all members asking for a contribution from those who have not contributed. The meml»ers of Xthe committee feel Jhis to be such a worthy cause, that every member who is interested in the spiritual welfare of the community, will deem it a privilege to do so.

For Amissville Fire Carnival
The equipment for Amissville’s Fire Carnival and Fair September 26 r and 27 has J>een arranged for, Lieutenant Mitchell Green of the Amwsville Volunteer Fire Company announced at last week's drill.
It is expected to include a swing and ride as well as the other customary fun-providing games of luck and skill, and concession stands.
The carnival will be held on the Lloyd H. Llewellyn place across from Palmer’s General Store. Mr. Llewellyn donated the use of his property for tbetwol days of the carnival.
