“Tie Lake” Opens

With Dance, August 22

“The Lake,” at Washington, will hold the first of its official entertainments tomorrow night, August 22, with a Barn Dance. The Free State Ramblers will be on hand with their stringed band and a figure-caller for the dances.

Gibson Whorton is manager of the opening dance. ;

“The Lake,” or Davises Lake, was used for the Red Cross swimming classes this summer. Swimming parties and picnics, and some boating have furnished entertainment during the summer at the hoispitality of George H. Davis, owner.

If this proves to be a location for entertainment, there are plans for Sunday band concerts during the early fall, and reports say that a college glee club may be invited to give a program at The Lake.
