(Following is a portion of a letter frojn Capt. W. B. Dennis, Jr., stationed" in Korea, to his father, Rev. W^B. Dennis, of Castleton.)
“We got a new Chaplain yesterday; oUr old one went home, that is, the Protestant chaplain iwho held services for us here. He was a Disciple of Christ; I don’t know what the new one is. The old one served us Communion as we stood at our seats; the new one has us come forward and kneel to receive it. Both use the wafer dipped in wine.
“Jean was worried about my being close to the fighting on Oid Baldy that the papers talk so much about. That is not close to us, and I’m not sure just where it is.
“Aftqr all the rain the roads are getting dusty again. There was a, time when I wondered if they ever would get dusty, but when the wind blows a little and the sun shines, it doesn’t take long to dry out. Actually, I’ve seen this much mud many a tijne, but it sure is below the quality of good, Virginia mud! That red clay has character and personality; this stuff is just mud. Red clay assumes a new
