Pvt. and Mrs. Bennie Pullen and son, Wayne spent sometime with Mrs. Pullen’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Clark. On Sunday Mrs. Pullen left for Massachusetts with her husband for a visit, while her son remains with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark.
Mrs. Addie Clark, Mr. and Mrs.j Ray Clark were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Clark.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Manuel and son, Ronold of Winchester were guests Sunday of Mrs. James Lillard. Elsie Mae Jenkins who spent from Friday until Sunday" with the., Manuels, returned with them to her aunt, Mrs. J. M. Lillard, with whom she is making her home.
Miss Becky Edmonds of Front Royal spent Sunday with Mrs. J. M. Lillard. a
Miss Ann Litsey, who has been attending 4-H Camp at Potomac Woods, returned Monday to join her family at Spring House Farm.
Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Lea and family, Miss Mary Massie and Carlyle left Friday for Massie Mills to see Mr. Lea’s father, J: P. Lea, who had been ill for some time. Mr. Lea passed away Saturday and funeral services were conducted Tuesday at Piney Run Funeral Home with interment in the family section of the Baptist Church Cemetery.. Those from Washington who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. W. AK Miller, C. J. Miller, Clarence Oden, Mrs. Harold Estes, Mrs. Ashby Wayland, Mrs. George H. Davis Jr., Mrs. B.R.. Cox, Mrs. Lewis J. Turner, Downing Wood, and Mrs. D. D. Miller.
Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Lea and son, Carlyle will return home Friday. Miss Ifca will go to Lynchburg for a visit with relatives and friends before returning to Hollins College, where she will he a sophomore this session.
