Coining To Amissville
Chief Conroy and Lieutenant Peele of the District of Columbia fire department are coming to Amissville Saturday, August 23
They will instruct members of the new Amissville Volunteer Fire Company in the operation of the pumper purchased from the District of Columbia.

Miss Jean Hackley of Amissville is spending her vacation in Denver, Colorado. While there she plans to go on “sight-seeing” tours, which will include the Rocky Mt. National Park, Colorado Springs, Mt. Evans and other places of interest. Miss Hackley will leave Denver for Chicago then to Washington, D.' C. Sunday, August 24. On Tuesday she will report Jo the Rhoades Drug Store in West Virginia where she has accepted a position.
