Holds Snmmer Meetings
A picture exhibit of garden^ in Rappahannock at different seasons of the year, and also scenes of southern states featured the Augut 13 meeting of Flint Hill Garden club. Bobby Massie, a guest of the club, showed the pictures which included scenes of the longest azalea drive in the world.
Flower arrangement awards went to Mrs. Browning, for an arrangement of yellow and flame gladioli in white pottery; to Mrs. B. J. Wood, for petunias, white August lilies, and red snapdragons in a tumbler; to Mrs. C. D. Wood, for pink and white phlox in small cup and saucer arrangement; and to Mrs. J. P. Cook, for mass arrangement of snapdragons, pink resurrection lilies, gladolli, butterfly bush, bachelor buttons, August lilies, asters, ageratum, zinnias, red spirea, tritonia, petunias, Jjj^lox, golden glow, aqd *now-on-the-mountain.
The June meeting of Flint Hill Garden club was a luncheon picnic on Skyline rive, when Paul Favour, park naturalist,, met the club and escorted the members on a nature study hike. Mrs. W. A. Lawson of Flint Hill and Mrs. Hadassah Dunn were guests of the club at this meeting.
