The Institute of Rural Affairs will be held at VPI Wednesday, July 29 to 31. The Rappahannock Group will leave Tuesday at 10:00 and return from Blacksburg on Saturday.

Ann Utz was hostess to Forest Grove Room Improvement group. The girls made a laundry bag for their room.

The Washington-Sperryville Home Grounds group met at the Old Hollow for pruning demonstration. The group brought a picnic lunch and enjoyed a swim afterwards.

A fair planning committee began preparation for a 4-H fair this fall. The chairman of the fair is Lelia Gentry. Betty Rutherford is chairman of classes. Peachy Lyne is chairman of activities and Neville Wood is chairman of publicity. Nancy Brown also was working with Peachy. Another planning meeting is scheduled for Saturday morning.

Mrs. R. M. Johnson entertained the Woodville Home Demonstration cluh Friday evening. During business the club voted the Continuing Education Building at V.P.I. The demonstration given to the group was on “Cold Plates.”
