Mrs. Letitia ^ Strother
Mrs. Letitia Shackelford Strother, widow of Dr. W. Johnson Strother of Culpeper, died early Saturday evening, July IS. Funeral services were conducted in St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Culpeper at 11 o’clock, Monday morning and interment was in the Masonic Cemetery at the side of her husband.
Although Mrs. Strother spent most of her married life in Culpeper, she is a native of F. T. Valley, bom at “Montpelier.” She is survived by her two sons, Johnson Strother of Calif, and Henry Strother of Richmond; two daughters, Mrs. Rufus Roberts of Culpeper and Mrs. French Slaughter of Winston; two sisters and a brother, Rapley Shackelford.
Pallbearers were C. J. Miller, Lewis P. Nelson, French Slaughter, Johnson Slaughter, Rufus Roberts Jr., Charles Penniman, Feigner Neal and Erskine Strother. %
