Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown Sr. entertained a family gathering on Sunday, July 5, honoring the birthday anniversaries of her son-in-law and daughter, Rev. A. Paul Thompson* and Mrs. Frances B. Thornton. Besides (those mentioned others present were Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown Jr., and daughter, Susan, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown and son of Leesburg, Mrs. A. Paul Thompson, and daughter, Ann Rodes Thompson, and' P. Lee Thornton III. In the afternoons Mrs. Thornton, P. Lee III, Mrs. Thompson and Ann Rodes, Mrs. J. Rodes Brown Jr. and Susan visited their grandmother, Mrs. Cora Brown in Woodville.
