Floor In Fire House A number of volunteers assembled at the fire house in Amissville early in the morning of Friday, July 17 and poured the new floor. The job was finished by 4 o’clock that evening. One hundred and sixty-five bags of. lent were required along with tons i of sand and gravel. Now that complete the fire trucks in the fire house, employed Colemans Warrenton, to iixefs^id finish the assisted hy rJoseph Doores. ^volunteered their f, Billy Tapp, Floyd Pullen, Silas MarJarron, E. C. (Snooks) Lillard^fihaifie Compton, Fred Cook, Braxton James, Paul Smith, Lewis Hacldey, Eddie Hitt and A. C. Latham Jr. Colored friends who volunteered to help were: Irvin Johnson, Sandy Togan, Randolph Brown, Will Scott, Will Phillip, Elmore Rector and Johnnie Williams, Leonard Barron and John P. Lenios donated the use of their trucks while others furnished shovels, wheelbarrows and other miscellaneous tools.
