Nine Citizens Receive Blood

The Rappahannock County Chapter of the American Red Cross is proud to announce that 9 of our citizens received blood through the American Red Cross - University Hospital sub-center of the Washington Regional Blood Center while the recipient was hospitalized in Charlottesville. As stated from the Red Cross Chapter, “ We are glad to be able to meet the patients’ need without charge for blood.” These patients consisted of both white and colored who represented the communities of Sperryville, Amissville, Washington, Slate Mills, and Flint Hill. Twentyfour pints of blood was used for these 9 patients.
