Joint Meeting
A joint meeting of the Washington Fire Company and the Ladies Auxiliary was attended by a large number of members from each organization Monday evening in the Fire House.
A short business meeting was conducted by the Ladies Auxiliary, Monday being their regular monthly meeting date. The floor was then open to any and all suggestions of subjects that called for joint action. The success of previous undertakings was discussed and new plans of work considered. Such current issues as the rescue squad were talked over at gr£at length.
Refreshments were served by the Ladies Auxiliary. Both the Firemen and the'Auxiliary came to realize as the conversation lulled and the meeting concluded, that a joint meeting of such a brother-sister organization is valuable to their mutual operation.
