Fred YV. Schaefer spent Wednesday and Thursday in NevvYorkand_ attended the World Series between the New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Dodgers. Robert YV. Sealcck of Washington, D. C. was a week end" guest of his mother, Mrs. Z. H. Sealock. Mr. and Mrs. David V. Chapman had as their week end guests Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman Jr., and Mrs. Fannie Mitchell of Richmond. Miss Lucille Byrd Brown, who spent last week with her aunt, Mrs. Z. H. Sealock at the Lee Highway Hotel, left on Sunday for her home in Norfolk. Rev. and Mrs. David Menchhofer and baby, Rev. and Mrs. Titus were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Brown. Rev. Tifus, a returned missionary, was the guest speaker at the regular morning service at the Methodist church. He and Mrs. Titus are now making their home in Westminster, Maryland.

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Yates and two children attended services at the Primitive Baptist church in Bgntonville on Sunday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Coffey Jr. and Mrs. Perle R. Coffey spent Saturday in Arlington with Mt. and Mrs. Randolph Jones. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Coffey Jr. were guests for the day of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nethers at Flint Hill. Forest Coffey of Tyro arrived Monday for a visit with the Coffey family. Supper guests on Sunday night of Mrs. Coffey and family were Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Muterspaugh and their daughter, Ravonda.

Rev. A. Paul Thompson, Mrs. Thompson and baby, Ann Rodes returned Wednesday after two weeks stay with Rev. Thompson’s parents in Russellville, Missouri.

Mrs. Mary Thornhill of Glasgow, who spent several days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Rodes Brown, has gone to Centerville to visit friends She will return to extend her visit at “Rock Villa.”

Mrs, Florence Johnson of Woodville was a guest of Elder and Mrs. J. H. Daily on Monday. In the afternoon Mrs. Johnson motored to Front Royal.
