BRIDGE PARTIES
Mrs. Charles Bruce entertained the Washington Bridge Club Thursday evening. High score was won by Mrs. T. C. Lea, while Mrs. B. M. Miller won second high. Traveling was won by Miss Lea and the consolation prize went to Mrs. DeBergh. Mrs. Bruce’s guests were Mrs. George H. Davis Jr., Mrs. T. C. Lea, ^Miss Mary M. Lea, Mrs. B. M. Miller, Mrs. J. W. Price, Mrs. Wade H. Massie Jr., Mrs. Elizabeth H. DeBergh, Mrs. R. L. Massie, Mrs. J. E. Keyser, Mrs. W, F. Moffett, Mrs. Lewis J. Turner and Mrs. D. D. Miller.
Mrs. W. A. Moore was hostess to the Flint Hill Bridge Club on Monday evening. Her guests were Mrs. Earl Edmonds, Mrs. William Gilbert, Mrs. Emory Russell, Mrs. B. J. Wood, Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr., Mrs. R. L. Massie, Mrs. Lock Bur ford, Mrs. Thomas Eastham, Mrs. Paul Miller, Miss Minnie Williams, Mrs. J. E. Keyser, Mrs. E. R. Browning, Mrs. J. S. Browning, Mrs. Claude Cook, and Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Smith Jr.
A salad course was served by the hostess and' prizes were awarded to Miss Minnie Williams for high seore; Mrs. William Gilbert for traveling and Mrs. J. S. Browning, for bingo and Mrs. B. J. Wood for consolation.
Mrs. George L. Taylor was hostess to the Sperryville Bridge Club and additional guests at "Grandview." Five tables were arranged for the games and those playing were Mrs. R. E- Wood, Mrs. Frankey Menefee, Mrs. Holmes Hall, Mrs. Z. H. Sealock, Mrs. H. B. Winfrey, Mrs. C. E. Johnson Jr., Mrs. C.H.H. Branch, Mrs. Thomas E. Hudson, Miss Louise O’Bannon, Mrs. Fred Schaefer, Mrs. W. H. Lyne, Mrs. Mary Botts Quaintance, Mrs. D. Lyle Miller, Mrs. J. P. Snead, Mrs. I. R. Kilby, Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. L. J. Kilby, Mrs. T. J. Pillar, Mrs. Roy L. Reeve, and Mrs. Charles H. Estes.
At the conclusion of the game Mrs. Taylor presented the prizes to the winners as follows: High for club— Mrs. Quaintance; High for guests— Mrs. Estes; Traveling—Mrs. Lucia Kilby ; Bingo—Mrs. Snead and Low— Mrs. Lyne and Low for guests— Mrs. Branch. ,
