DOLLARS VS. LIVES
It was heartening to see the reaction of the local people, at a joint meeting of the Washington Fire Company and the ladies of the Auxiliary held Monday night, when the recently formulated plans <for a Rescue Squad were discussed.
Of course, as will be the case in any discussion, there were some “doubting Thomases”, and some who wanted to wait and see if it would be a success before joining. But when the facts are weighed there can be little doubt that these same ones will be loyal supporters of the organization.
The Culpeper Rescue Squad has some of the best qualified First Aid instructors in this section of Virginia, and they have volunteered to conduct classes in rendering first aid to the inured.
STOP! THINK 1—A few dollars spent for good equipment and a few hours of your time spent taking the first aid course, and some day you may be able to save a life or prevent some person from being permanently crippled.
