Mn and Mrs. £. B. Updike and family attended the birthday dinner Sunday of Mrs. Updike’s father, James S>ours held at Riteyville. Kunr^r, E. B. and Holly Updike attended the State Fair in Richmond last week.
Miss Lynn Updike attended the Apple Blossom Harvest in Charlotte s,villc.
Miss Mary Thomas White spent the week end at Madison with Miss Lois Aylor. Saturday, she attended the UVa.-VPI football game. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Judd of Luray spent Friday with Mrs. Gilbert Weakley and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gallihugh.
Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Revercomb attended services at Mount Lebanon Church on Friday night. Mrs. Revercomb spent the night with Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Coates in Culpeper.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Jones of Washington, D. C. were week-end visitors at their newly purchased home (the old Revercomb place purchased recently from Clara Revercomb) . Mrs. Clara Revercomb spent several days this week with Mrs. Gilbert Weakley and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gallihugh. She was the guest of Mr, and Mrs. J. G. Revercomb for a night. Mrs. Revercomb has returned to Charlottesville to visit Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gates.
Russell Revercomb of Arlington was home for the week end.
Mrs. William Jackson Turner
Information has just been received of the sudden death of Mrs. William Jadcson Turner, the former Beulah Benton Baggarly, at her home in Washington, D. C. that occurred Tuesday morning at 10:30, October 6.
Mrs. Turner was born at Saint Elmo, near Flint Hill the home of her father, Daniel Henry Baggarly, who married Martha Somers Allen. She was happily married to the late William Jackson Turner, January 27, 1892, who died October 5, 1950. Mr. Turner for a period of time was Cashier of The Rappahannock National Bank,-during which time they resided in Washington.
Interment will be at 2:00 this afternoon in the Baggarly Lot of the Methodist Church Cemetery, Flint .Hill.
Mrs. Turner is survived by two sons and three daughters, Henry Ashby Turner, William Jackson Turner, Jr., Mrs. Car Turner Borden and Mrs. Herbert Allen of Washington, D. C. and Mrs. William Hughes Stokes of Baltimore, Maryland.
