Best Doe Rabbit: Deroy Jenkins— -blue ribbon and $2; and Jackie Rutherford—red ribbon and $1.
Best Buck Rabbit: Jimmie Jenkins—blue ribbon and $2.
Best 10 ears of Hybrid Corn: Kelly Updike—blue ribbon and $2; Glen Updike—red ribbon and $1; and Randall Updke—white ribbon and fifty cents.
The Fitting and Showing awards went to Archie Bailey with a blue ribbon and $2; Walter B. Kilby—red ribbon and $1; and Kelly Updike— white ribbon and fifty cents.
About prizes: the reasqn there were so many different amounts was because exhibitors often tied in number of points won and prize money was divided.
George Pullen won the coveted greasy pig and Hill Walker climbed the greased pole. Jackie Rutherford won the first rooster race.
In the night contests for Make Up Artists, Kellp Opdike and Betty Rutherford came out ahead. For contents of Lady's Handbag, Mrs. John Updike won. In -the cracker eating contest, Carolyn Turner whistled first. In the Patch Sewing Contest, Betty Rutherford and Kelly Updike again won.
The 4-H Fair presented Rappahannock County High School with a check in appreciation for use of the school for the fair and cooperation with club meetings. The Fair Committee would like to thank all those people who helped run food stands, workers at the fair who were a great help, the Volunteer Fire Dep't. for stands, the Angus Association for prizes and many others.
