Willis Robertson was pub* lished in the Virginia Record, and we feel that, every Virginia voter will want to read it: * A Willis Robertson was recently — declared the nominee of the Democratic Party in Virginia to succeed himself in the United States Senate. The fact that opposition ‘ within the party faded out or failed to materialize is a tribute to the hold Senator Robertson has on the people of this State where .. his nomination is practically tantamount to election. This tribute is readily understandable. His constituents realize that their representative places devotion to duty above personal convenience and comfort. At his f work from early morning to late evening, the business of his responsible office comes first. In this day when being a member of the Senate is really a full * time job and when it is virtually impossible for a Senator to fully . acquaint himself with all the questions that come before that body, Senator Robertson has a remark■ i able grasp on major subjects of ^ . legislation.
